C-GAP
Christians in Government and Politics (C-GAP), is a civic and political education programme of Public Education Works Initiative (PEWI), a non-governmental organisation. This Christian Ministry is dedicated to sensitization, mobilization and education of Christians for effective, reasoned and informed participation in democratic governance. C-GAP does not advocate for any political party. We put God’s kingdom above party politics; irrespective of our political affiliations we present a balanced and biblical case for why and how Christians should be engaging with government and in politics.
VISION
A society of highly mobilized Church and God’s people with clear understanding of and active participation in government, political parties and the political processes, capable of initiating, taking
responsibilities for, and determining God ordained political leadership in our communities, Local Government, State and Nation.
MISSION
We advocate for positive engagement of Christians in the democratic and political process, and seek inculcation of Christian values of truth, honesty, compassion, inclusiveness and efficiency into the main fabric of politics.
OBJECTIVES
The Christians in Government & Politics programme exists to provide Christians with knowledge and skills necessary to participate in governance as a sure means of mobilizing them to participate in the political process and its activities in order to bring about change in the political process.
To this end, C-GAP works to:
Convince Christians that participation in Government and Politics is Biblical, Missional and Possible.
Enlighten Christians on how and why they should actively participate in Government and Politics.
To connect Christians and the Churches to sources that can assist them engage politically.
To provide resources to equip Christians in their engagement with Government and politics.

PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES
C-GAP delivers high quality programmes across the country, examining the mission of the Church and how it relates to public life, politics and the government.
We organize Conferences, training, seminars, workshops and group discussions, to enhance the knowledge, skills, dispositions and values of Christians as Political Leaders. We equip them with a range of practical, high quality resources.
We equally speak at Synods, Church group Meetings, Special events, and deliver Sermons as Guest Ministers.
