COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Provide a rigorous content knowledge, innovative pedagogical (teaching) techniques, and authentic performance assessment practice.
  • Strengthen teaching skills through several modules that highlight the critical components of Civic Education and Democracy.
  • Enrich understanding of Public Policy as an important component of effective civic engagement.
  • Provide instructions in Problems Identification, Research and Interview techniques, Information Collation and Analysis, Evaluation, and producing Action Plans for resolution of problems.
  • Provide opportunities for Facilitators, Teachers, Instructors and Civic Educators to share best practices in Civic Education.
