TARGET AUDIENCE

This training is recommended for:

Teachers of Civic Education, Government, History, Social Studies, English Language, Literature, Information Technology and Visual and Performing Arts;
Coordinators of Extra-Curricular and Youth Development Programmes;
School Proprietors, Head Teachers, Discipline Masters and Mistresses;
Education and Curriculum Development Officers of the Ministry of Education;
Education and Curriculum Development Officers of the Ministry of Education;
Facilitators and Trainers of Teachers in Colleges of Education and Universities; and
Members of Universal Basic Education, Post-Primary (Secondary) Schools Boards.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

Improve the level of instruction on the judicial system at the secondary school level, reaching students while they are developing an awareness of their rights and duties as citizens;
Help teachers, especially of Law, Government and Social Studies, grow professionally by deepening their knowledge and to help them better teach about the Supreme Court of Nigeria; and
Prepare teachers to use innovative teaching methods, as well as cutting edge technology, in educating students about the Law.
