At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

• Develop rigorous content knowledge, innovative teaching techniques, and authentic performance assessment practices;
• Enrich their understanding of public policy and how it relates to students as an important component of effective civic engagement;
• Provide instructions in problems identification, Research and Interview techniques, Information Collation and Analysis, Evaluation, producing Action Plans for resolution of problems;
• Promote responsible participation in Community problem-solving, Local and State Governments; and
• Utilize opportunities for Teachers and Civic Educators to network and share best practices in Civic Education.
